Teachers’ Day, 4th September 2021

Teachers’ Day commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first vice-president of India and the second President of the nation. Dr Radhakrishnan was an esteemed educationist. Teachers' Day aims to focus on appreciating the efforts of Teachers and acknowledging their role in nation building. A day to honour and show gratitude to all educators and teachers.

Adarsh Group of Institution also celebrated Teachers’ Day on 4th September-2021 at their campus located at Chamarajapet. The venue was Adarsh AIMIT auditorium. The program commenced with a prayer to the Lord Almighty and the customary lighting of the lamp. The President of AGI, Shri. K. K. Bhansali extended a warm welcome to the audience including Principals of five institutions of AGI namely Adarsh AIMIT, SRN College [Degree], SRN PU College, SRN Evening college and Adarsh High School , faculty members and staff of these institutions.

The Guest of Honor for the day was H. Naginchand Kincha , a gold medallist in Law and B.Com and a rank holder in C.A. An illustrious person in his own right, Mr. H. Kincha extolled the virtues of the teaching profession and the vital role played by teachers in shaping impressionable minds. He likened a teacher to a Kumbaara [ Potter] who shapes the minds of his pupils. He extolled the virtues of Gurukul where there used to be a bonding between the Guru and his disciples. He felt that the present system of online education curtailed such bonding. He also emphasised on certain essentials for a teacher to be effective, namely-

  • The teacher should excel in his/her field.
  • The teacher should seek continuous up gradation of skills and knowledge.
  • The teacher should be able to communicate effectively, and in a concise and precise manner.
  • The teacher should up skill the students to the extent that they outclass everyone.
  • They should avoid conflicts, discharge their duties with diligence and not over depend on technology.

Success will be a natural outcome if they are excellent.

The Heads of all the institutions were felicitated on the occasion.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mr. Mahesh Nahar, Joint Secretary, AGI , who was also the Emcee for the occasion.
