FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATIONS AT ADARSH GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS
Speaking on the occasion of the Founder's Day held on February 1, 2017, at SRN Adarsh College, the chief guest, Sri K. L Gidiya, President, Terapanth Sabha Bhawan, wished Sri Premraj ji a long and healthy life and expressed his good wishes for the organization. Sri J Phool Chand, President, Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, advised the students to follow the footsteps of Sri Premraj ji, as there is a lot to learn from him. It is the birthday of the founder, Sri Premraj V. Jain, who had served as the Honorary President of the Adarsh Group of Institutions (AGI) for many years. AGI has now entered into the 47th year in the field of educational services. Today there are 12 institutions, ranging from Pre-nursery to Post Graduate and Research, functioning under the umbrella of AGI.
The function began with a traditional welcome of 'Poorna Kumbha', prayer ,invocation dance and the lighting of the lamp. The gathering was welcomed by the President of AGI, Sri K K Bhansali. Rich tributes were paid to Sri Premraj V. Jain by the principals of various educational institutions of AGI and his family members. The newly formed management committee of AGI and students and staff also wished him on this occasion. Six of the long serving non-teaching members were honored for their services. Later, the scintillating cultural programme was eagerly watched by the audience. This was followed by a scrumptious lunch for all the staff members and students.
To mark the 154th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda SRN Adarsh College on January 12, 2017 celebrated the National Youth Day in collaboration with Samartha Bharath organization and Bansali foundation.
The chief guests for the occasion were Mr.Thippeswamy, Exec. Eng. KIDB and Dr.Tejaswini Ananthkumar, managing trustee, Adamya Chetana, Bengaluru.
In presence were Mr. Rajesh Bhansali- Bhansali Foundation, Hony. President Mr. K K Bansali -AGI, Hony. Secretary Mr. Jitendra Mardia - AGI and Dr. Bharatish Rao, Principal Adarsh College.
The program started with distribution of colorful Vivek Bands to the audience by the Samartha Bharath Organization and followed by lighting of the lamp and inspiring addresses by the dignitaries.
The Principal Dr.Bharatish Rao started his welcome speech by quoting Swami Vivekananda that 'Human is divine' and how with his teachings he attracted the whole world.
Speaking on the occasion Dr.Tejaswini Ananthkumar questioned the students what difference each one of them are contributing to the society she urged the students to 'Be the change and make the change in the society'.
Mr.Tippeswamy said distinguished people like Gandhiji, Subbhas Chandra Bose and many others were inspired by Swami Vivekanada's life. He said Swami Vivekananda's speech in Chicago 'My dear sisters and brothers of America' gave an impression to the entire world that the whole world was a big family.
Mr.Rajesh Bansali of the Bansali foundation took an pledge along the students that 'Arise, Awake, stop not till you reach your goal'.
President Mr.K K Bansali said he see Swami Vivekanada in all the people around him.
Dr.Tejeswini Ananthkumar and Mr.Tippeswamy were presented with a picture of Swami Vivekanda by the Bansali Foundation. Mr.Purnapragna proposed the vote of thanks and the program concluded with singing Vande Matharam.

Adarsh Group of Institutions organized a rendezvous for their alumni on 7th Jan, 2017- MILAN- The Alumni Meet, in their campus located at Chamrajpet. The Formal inaugural function was marked by the customary invocation followed by the lighting of the lamp. The Welcome address was rendered by the President of Adarsh Vidya Sangh, Shri. K. K Bhansali. He spoke about the importance of Alumni meet and the relevance of Alumni Associations. He spoke in detail of the importance of net worth that network provides and concluded by saying that Adarsh feels rich with a legacy of over four thousand students. The Guest of Honor was Shri. Vinod Pokarna, an Alumni of London Business School. He began his speech with the words, "Learning is a life- long quest". He spoke about the importance of continuous association with the Alma mater and the strong need for a vibrant Alumni association while outlining the significant learning imparted as a result of one's association with the Alma mater. The take away for the students would be that the alumni could impart practical lessons from the real world. They could bridge the gap between theory and the requirements of Corporate. He concluded by saying that whatever one is in life, is because of the decisions one makes.
Shri. Gautam Chand, a practicing advocate, who was the Chief Guest of the occasion spoke about the significance of Alumni association. He is the President of the Alumni Association of University Law College. He drew a similarity between the an Alumni and a bride connecting with her maternal roots.
Shri. Nahar rendered the concluding remarks and wished the Alumni association all success. He said, Coming together is the beginning and staying together is success ,thereby driving home the significance of an Alumni association. The Visionary Founder, Shri. V. Premraj Jain charted the educational journey of Adarsh which started with a humble beginning in 1971 and has never looked back since.
Shri. Ugamraj Khated was made President of the Alumni Association. The Alumni meet was attended by several students who expressed their gratitude to the Institution and cherished their long term association.
Adarsh group of institutions held its 'Annual Athletics Meet 2017' on January 5, 2017 at Kittor Rani Chennamma Stadium, Jayanagar 3rd Block, Bangalore.
The chief guests on this occasion were Mr. Paveen Ranka, International trainer in traditional Martial Arts who is successful to wield it into contemporary life. Mr. Ranjeet Solanki a leading Entrepreneur, Industrialist and also a Philanthropist who has helped many needy students to reach their goal.
All student competed in all track events like running 100m, 200m and 400m, relay, on the sport skipping, and Shotput for both boys and girls. Musical chairs was organized for the teachers and all the teachers enthusiastically took part in it.
The chief guest for the valedictory was Mr. Arjun Devaiah a National Champion in 200 Mtrs and 400 Mtrs running track events and has won Gold in various International events.
